C. L. Scarborough Middle School

2009-2010  Uniform Policy                                                                                                        

The school uniform at Scarborough Middle School for 2009-2010 will include the following: 

SHIRTS:  6^TH GRADE-WHITE\ GRADE 7-GRAY\ GRADE 8-HUNTER GREEN

• Must be pullover polo style shirt with three (3) buttons and a collar.
• Must include school initials and paw print. No other logos.
• Shirts must be TUCKED IN at all times.

UNDERSHIRTS:  ONLY PLAIN WHITE OR P.E. SHIRTS MAY BE WORN BENEATH THE UNIFORM SHIRT.

• No long t-shirts.
• Undershirts must be TUCKED IN at all times.

PANTS:   MEDIUM KHAKI COLOR UNIFORM SLACKS ONLY.

• Uniform style, straight-leg; must be hemmed, no frayed, cut or torn edges.
• No jean style or jean material. No five pocket or three pocket jeans. No brads on pants.
• No cargo pants or painter pants. 
• No flare legs, low cut, low rise pants or shorts of any kind.
• Pants should fit properly.  They should not be too tight or oversized.

SKIRTS :   SCARBOROUGH PLAID (GREEN, GOLD, WHITE AND GRAY).

• Skirts must be in uniform style. Skirts must be hemmed.  NO SKORTS.
• No jean skirts or jean material.
• Skirts must be NO MORE than two inches above or two inches below the knee.  
• No rolling of skirts at the waist line.

BELT:  SOLID BLACK OR BROWN LEATHER BELT. (NO OTHER COLORS OR CLEAR BELTS)

• Traditional buckles only!  No big or fad buckles. No studs.
• Belts must be visible with shirt tucked in.

SOCKS:  WHITE ONLY!  SHORT CREW.

• Socks should be visible above the shoes and cover the ankle bone.
• No logos or manufacturers label or brands.
• No knee socks or tights.

SHOES:  DIRTY BUCKS ONLY!

• Shoe laces must be the original laces or same color and style.

• No boots, moccasins, backless or toeless shoes.

OUTERWEAR:  HUNTER GREEN ONLY.  NO HOODS

• All outerwear must be solid hunter green in color. No logo except for SMS and paw print
• Sweatshirt, cardigan, windbreakers, fleece or baseball type jackets.
• No caps, or headbands.

JEWELRY:  STUD EARRINGS ONLY.

• No more than two earrings per ear.
• No hoop or dangling earrings. No necklaces or bracelets of any kind.
• No tongue rings or facial jewelry.
• No sunglasses inside building.

HAIR:  MUST BE A NATURAL HUMAN HAIR COLOR

• Should be neat.

• No picks or combs to be worn in hair.

BOOKBAGS:  CLEAR or MESH ONLY!
